Andrew Revkin is the Völkischer Beobachter of Liberal Fascism?

Update on the take-home message of the Heartland Institute’s self-styled 2009 International Conference on “Global Warming Is A Scam And Al Gore Is Fat” Climate Change: it seems that the take-home message turned out to be something between
████ ██████ ██ ██████ ████ Czech President Václav Klaus █████ ███ █████████ █ ███!
and
███ ██ ███████ █ ███ James Hansen ███ █ ███ ungood █ ███!!! 1, 2, 3
No real prizes for you if you got it right (sorry), but if there’s a demand for web stickers or some such, perhaps I can come up with some.
Besides James Hansen, the ‘conference’ supporters are also particularly angry at another person: New York Times reporter Andrew Revkin. He’s supposedly guilty of such high crimes as “support[ing] and defend[ing] the liberal editorial policies of his employers” — which is weird, because (as I said before) he didn’t really say anything bad about the ‘conference’ outright. Oh well.

Und Klaus ist der Possenreißer? I guess I am just surprised that Cheney deemed the Heartland take home message to have security implications.
greenfyre:
I think that’ll make Klaus the Pražské povstání of Liberal Fascism…
The problem’s more that even the purveyors don’t even know what the take-home message is. :) Václav Klaus said something about… Communism? Economics? Global warming being a “theory”? Whatever… whatever Klaus said, it’s definitely good! And whatever James Hansen did is ungood.
(Tim Curtin: No trolling. And you still fail.)
“And Al Gore Is Fat”

Methinks Planet Gore’s jealous of the “Obama’s an illegal alien” spin that seems to be stirring in the right-wing blogocave since CPAC. Looking for a similar sound bite with which to prove their biases, they drop acid and, in a flashback montage, start proclaiming that it’s all connected and, through the magic of literary tropisms, manage to emerge from the drug-induced hallucination with a clear and correct vision of reality that no other man had deduced to that point.
…
…Wait, I’m told that’s Inspector Eric Finch in V for Vendetta, not Planet Gore. I always get those two mixed up.

OK. Now it’s all starting to make sense — some sort of sense… :-B
