Not political activism II

Anthony Watts is a meteorologist who’s merely skeptical of the global warming theory for non-political reasons, and totally hates it when supposedly unbiased ‘climate scientists’ engage in political activism. Therefore, we can reasonably expect that Watts is not engaging in political activism.
And indeed, he’s not engaging in political activism. I repeat, he’s not engaging in political activism. Dang, do I really need to repeat that? Anthony Watts is not engaging in political activism! Did you hear me? Anthony Watts Is Not Engaging In Political Activism! Anthony Watts Is Not Engaging In Political Activism! Not Engaging In Political Activism!

FYI Watts ran for Chico school board @ 6 years ago and was elected, mainly in the strength of his rep as a friendly local TV weather guy. These are non-partisan seats, but four years was enough to convince voters that Watts was a standard-issue troglodyte Republican undeserving of continuation in public office.
OT: In case you hadn’t seen it already, Roy “Rejected Manuscript” Spencer has himself a shiny new blog.
Read Anathem by Neal Stephanson. Scientists should be kept isolated in the Concent while the Saecular Powers do what they do. Watt is obviously not a scientist…
Steve Bloom:
Wow, that’s some weird stuff. So how does it work? Friendly non-partisan weatherman by day, super-secret Republican Party activist by night? The mind boggles…
Thanks! Man, this is going to be interesting… :)

Gator: well, it does seem that that’s what Watts and his other inactivist friends would like scientists to do. Scientists who don’t agree with them, that is.
(evanmjones: no trolling.)
Doesn’t everything boil down to being political when we get down to it?
No.
